Kennels

There are Family kennels providing 5.5 square meters/60 square feet of floor space. This is designed for the giants or a family group of up to 4 depending on size.

The standard kennel is half the size but provides ample room for a big dog or a family group, dependant on size.

Dogs housed together must be from the same household, ensuring they have already established their pecking order( The kennel atmosphere and presence of other dogs can result in heightened mood and potential conflict between family groups so it’s important that they are comfortable with each other)

Each kennel provides two separate areas- the sleeping area has underfloor heating which is individually controlled to ensure a comfortable temperature for each specific dog’s needs.
The feeding area provides a clean comfortable space. Kennel floors are tiled to ensure they can be kept clean and cozy.

Bedding/Toys- We have a selection of beds from rubber mats, oval plastic beds, or raised platforms and use vet bed as a cozy blanket, all of which are easy to keep clean and replenished where necessary.

It’s great for your dog to have a familiar blanket, towel, or toy from home as it can provide comfort and security. Owners wishing to bring their own bedding must do so at their own risk (often if a dog is stressed they may become destructive). If you could make a note as to your belongings we will do our best to return your items, though washing can often cause confusion and may result in mislaid items. We do have a lost property box so if you are missing anything, we will do our best to return it.

Bowls- We have ample stainless-steel bowls of varying sizes and designs so it’s generally not necessary to bring your own. If your dog uses an anti-gulp dowl then please do bring that as we need to keep their eating habits as normal as possible. All bowls are thoroughly washed after mealtimes and water bowl replenished daily.

Feeding

We stock a limited selection of complete feeds which we feel happy enough to feed to our dogs.

The selection of K9 diets is vast and quickly changing. Some dogs will eat most complete foods without any problems, but other dogs have very sensitive digestion and for these dogs changing their diets could result in consequences! Changing diets as well as environment can often unsettle digestion therefore it’s important you think carefully as to the best option for your dog’s needs.

If you wish to bring your own food, we ask that you provide clear instructions to your dog’s normal feeding regime (times, quantities, and any extras). Please include a little spare or a note as to the exact product in case you are delayed, or your dog needs a little more than normal due to fewer treats or more exercise. We have a fridge freezer to store any perishable food and a microwave if necessary. Puppies and older dogs also have specific dietary needs therefore bringing your own food may be advisable.

Our food is inclusive in the price, but if you provide your own food this does not alter cost as storage and food preparation cause additional time.

Our normal feeding times are 7.30-8.00am and 2.30-3.00pm to ensure ample time before/after exercise allowing times to digest. Additional feeds throughout the day can be provided as required.

Feeding a minimum of twice daily ensures we monitor the dog’s health and allows their digestive system to function efficiently.
